A Smarter Approach to Restoring Your Smile
Other All-On-X implant centers simply replace all teeth;
Team Dental’s unique approach preserves your healthy teeth while restoring your smile with permanent implants—all tailored to your specific needs.
At Team Dental, Dr. Murtuza Jaffari takes a different path to dental implants. Instead of automatically removing all your teeth like many implant centers, we carefully evaluate which teeth can be saved and which need replacement. This personalized, multidisciplinary approach means better results, more natural function, and often significant cost savings for you.

Sandy's Starting Point
When Sandy first came to me during my 3-year fellowship at NYU for implantology, we quickly developed a great relationship. Looking at her initial condition, I noticed several concerns that needed addressing before finalizing her implant work:
A noticeable gap (diastema) between her front teeth
Teeth that were flared outward and uneven along the edges
Yellowing teeth with visible chipping
Missing multiple bottom teeth (with only canines and some molars remaining)
Thinning bone in areas where teeth had been extracted
Difficulty eating due to missing lower teeth
I realized that if we placed final implant restorations without correcting the upper teeth position, she'd be locked into that flared position permanently. We needed a smarter approach.
Our Conservative Yet Effective Treatment Plan
What sets our practice apart is our balance of efficiency and conservation. I believe there's no better alternative than your own natural teeth – as long as they're healthy and stable. Many implant clinics rush to extract teeth unnecessarily, but that's not our philosophy.
"You need to be balanced with your approach. You don't want to save teeth that are hopeless, but you also want to maintain what's valuable," I explained to Sandy.
For Sandy's Upper Teeth:
Invisalign Treatment: We closed the gaps and aligned her teeth without removing them
Zoom Whitening: We used our night white 16% formula, which works beautifully with Invisalign aligners as bleaching trays
Gentle Contouring: We carefully reshaped the chipped areas without removing precious enamel
Crown Replacement: We matched new crowns to her freshly whitened teeth
I prefer our sustained whitening approach because it causes minimal sensitivity while achieving remarkable results – Sandy whitened over four shades, resulting in a natural-looking, age-appropriate brightness.
For Sandy's Lower Teeth:
Digital Implant Planning: Every case begins with comprehensive 3D imaging and planning
Strategic Implant Placement: We placed six precisely positioned implants, including immediate implants where canines were removed
Bone Grafting: To ensure proper support for the implants
Fixed Zirconia Bridge: A permanent, non-removable solution that looks and functions like natural teeth
Are Dental Problems Affecting Your Daily Life?
Difficulty Enjoying Meals
Missing or failing teeth make it painful to eat many foods. You might avoid your favorite meals or struggle to chew properly, affecting both your nutrition and enjoyment of food. Our patients tell us that being able to eat comfortably again is one of the greatest benefits of our treatment.
Embarrassment When Smiling
Do you hide your smile in photos or cover your mouth when laughing?
Missing teeth or unstable dentures can make social situations uncomfortable and damage your self-confidence. Imagine never having to worry about your smile again.
Changing Facial Appearance
When teeth are missing, your jawbone begins to shrink, causing your face to look older and more sunken. This bone loss continues over time, changing your appearance and potentially creating more dental problems.
Meet Dr. Murtuza Jaffari
Dr. Murtuza Jaffari, DDS, FAGD, FICOI, FAACA, brings exceptional credentials and a patient-centered philosophy to dental implant treatment. A New Jersey native, Dr. Jaffari earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, ranked #1 dental school in the world.
What truly sets Dr. Jaffari apart is his commitment to preserving natural teeth whenever possible. “I believe in treating patients, not just teeth,” says Dr. Jaffari. “By taking a multidisciplinary approach, we can often save healthy teeth, reduce overall costs, and achieve more natural results than full-mouth extractions.”
Dr. Jaffari has successfully completed hundreds of implant cases and continues to advance his expertise through active membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Patient Experiences in Dental Care
The Team Dental All-on-X Procedure
Our All-on-X treatment concept provides a full arch of teeth supported by strategically placed dental implants. Unlike other implant centers that automatically extract all teeth, our approach begins with a careful evaluation of which teeth can be saved.
1
STEP
Comprehensive Consultation
Your journey begins with a thorough examination by Dr. Jaffari, including 3D imaging to evaluate your bone structure, existing teeth, and overall oral health. We’ll discuss your goals, answer all your questions, and determine if you’re a candidate for our multidisciplinary approach.
2
STEP
Personalized Treatment Planning
Dr. Jaffari will create a customized treatment plan that may include saving healthy teeth while replacing others with implants. This tailored approach often results in better outcomes and potential cost savings compared to full-mouth extraction.
3
STEP
Preparatory Treatments
If needed, we’ll perform treatments to optimize your oral health before implant placement, such as periodontal therapy or treatment of any infections.
4
STEP
Implant Placement
On your procedure day, any unsavable teeth are gently removed, and dental implants are precisely positioned in your jawbone. The number of implants (typically 4-6 per arch) depends on your specific needs and bone structure.
5
STEP
Same-Day Temporary Teeth
You’ll leave our office with a temporary set of fixed teeth attached to your implants—no need to be without teeth during healing.
6
STEP
Healing and Final Restoration
After a healing period of 3-6 months, during which your implants integrate with your jawbone, we’ll place your permanent, custom-designed prosthesis, giving you a beautiful, functional smile that can last a lifetime with proper care.
Common Questions About Our Dental Implant Approach
-
Unlike centers that focus solely on replacing all teeth with implants, we take a multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Jaffari carefully evaluates which teeth can be saved and which need replacement. This often results in preserving healthy teeth, more natural function, and potential cost savings. We build relationships with our patients rather than treating them like “one more case” on an assembly line.
-
All-on-X (sometimes called All-on-4, All-on-6, or All-on-8) is a technique that uses a strategic number of implants to support an entire arch of teeth. The “X” represents the number of implants, which varies based on your specific needs. Traditional approaches might require more implants or individual implants for each missing tooth. Our approach is customized to your situation, using the optimal number of implants while preserving healthy natural teeth when possible.
-
The cost varies based on your specific needs and treatment plan. Because we often preserve healthy teeth rather than extracting all teeth, many patients find our approach more affordable than full-mouth implants. During your consultation, we’ll provide a detailed treatment plan with exact costs. We offer several financing options, including Cherry Financing with pre-approval available right on our website.
-
Many patients who have been told they lack adequate bone are still candidates for our approach. The All-on-X technique often allows us to use angled implants that maximize available bone. Additionally, our multidisciplinary approach may allow us to preserve some natural teeth in areas with insufficient bone while placing implants where bone is adequate.
-
With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last decades or even a lifetime. The prosthetic teeth attached to implants typically last 10-15 years before needing replacement. Regular dental check-ups and good home care are essential for long-term success.
-
Most patients report minimal discomfort during and after the procedure. We use advanced anesthesia techniques to ensure your comfort throughout treatment. Any post-procedure discomfort is typically managed with over-the-counter pain medications for a few days. Our patients consistently tell us the procedure was much more comfortable than they anticipated.

The Technology Behind Your Treatment
When planning implants, I always think with the end in mind. Patients don't really want implants – they want what implants provide: the ability to smile confidently and chew normally.
For precise placement, we use:
Digital Planning Software: To determine exact implant positioning
Surgical Guides: Custom templates that ensure implants are placed according to plan
Robotic Navigation: For complex cases, especially those with limited mouth opening
These technologies ensure your implants are positioned perfectly for both function and aesthetics – because the outcome is what truly matters.
